Well we’re finally here in Germany, and these past few days have been a blur!! I’m still shocked at how different Germany is than what I had expected and how similar it is to America. I will say that one thing, we’re definitely missing a subway system in Texas!! It’s so convenient and practical…confusing of course, but I’ll chock that up to it being all in German.
Yesterday, I would’ve complained about the rain and the cold since I most definitely did not pack winter clothes. But! Luckily for us, we had great weather at the Kurn zoo and cathedral today. The animal body world’s was amazing! I really wish we were able to stay longer to really look at all the specimens, but hopefully by the time it gets shown in the US, there will be more animals added to the exhibit. The cathedral was also very amazing. I’d like to think I conquered my fear of heights, but it probably look me almost 20 minutes just to climb down the stairs.
Exploring the city independently afterwards was very exciting too because we didn’t have a plan! It was just fun and spontaneous. I was even able to get a kugel of gelato. Getting home on the bahn was a little more stressful, but we were able to do it! It’s off to Berlin tomorrow, where more German adventures (and hopefully nice weather) await us!
