I have been to Europe before as a small child and with the Texas A&M Women's Rugby Team, however this will be a completely different experience. I really enjoyed England and Ireland when we went, but those trips revolved around rugby and everyone spoke English so, this will be a welcomed and somewhat nerve racking difference.
Getting everything packed, and planning all our trips has been very exciting and frustrating at times. I just feel like I am jumping into the big unknown head first, and the depth is somewhat questionable. Nonetheless I am looking forward to this trip, I am pretty sure it was on my mind during every final we took last week.
I took German in high school, but I know I have crammed a lot more facts (especially in this first year of vet school) into my little brain and I don't remember much. I am hoping by week two or so some will come back to me, but I guess we will have to see.
I really enjoyed my first year of vet school with the Class of 2014 and I can't wait to get to know the now 3VMs better as well as my classmates. I look forward to spending more time with everyone abroad and learning more about veterinary medicine in Germany!
