Day 11: Really? A map?
We got to see the small animal and equine clinics today. Both were really large and modern and our small animal guide even admitted that when the SA clinic opened they all carried maps to get around so they didn't get lost! The horse clinic was also interesting and we got to see a horse in the OR. After lunch in the cafeteria we headed out to the college farm. All the students are required to spend a couple of weeks living and working at the farm. The neatest thing to me was the dairy barn. They have a "robo milker" that lets the cows wander in and get milked whenever they want. It is totally automated and can take monthly milk samples and keep production records on each individual cow. I can't wait to show Stewart when we get home.
