Switzerland and then Italy of course

First I don't know how we managed it but we definitely missed the huge Ramada in he background when we got off at our bus stop in Basel. I like to blame it on the rain nd the poofiness of our jackets, nonetheless we missed the towering glass Ramada turned around and got it the second time. The Ramada was lovely and breakfast was delightful. With our tummys full we were off to our tour of Novartis.

I have to say it was definitely an eye opener to a part of our soon to be profession that I really haven't ever given much thought. The fact hat it takes ten years from the creation of the organic compouds to finally what we see on the counter is crazy. It kind of reminds me of D.C. and all the bills that never make it out of committees; you really have to never give up on your life goals and that through your failures you learn and get to great discoveries. Seeing all the beagles were so cute an the bugs, well ew, but I understand their purpose. Their hospitality was great and I really enjoyed our time there.

Having a workout in the workout facilities and a full service breakfast is he perfect way to start the morning! Our tour guide for Basel was great I really enjoyed the pace and how he intertwined all the historical aspects in a logical flow and pattern of walking. Going to the natural history museum was so much fun. Going at our own pace and taking goofy pictures at the end I felt like a little kid exploring. The perfect ending was the bee keeper and everyone trying some honey and enjoying the whole bee experience.

Now we are off to Italy for the weekend and I am super stoked for pizza, gelato, and wine!
