Switzer Chique

I always knew that Switzerland was considered extremely expensive by most Europeans but I never really understood before just what that actually meant. For example, buying a bit of chocolate and a sandwich at one of the grocery stores for lunch cost me over 25 dollars! I am happy to say that this was one of our shorter weeks, meaning that I could run away with what little money I still had left!

I would also like to say that all of the high end pricing did lead to some really cool stuff. For example the bathroom in the hotel had heaters, and there were speakers that hooked up to the television. Also the hotel had the best breakfast that I have ever seen in my entire life! There was basically everything that you could ever imagine from bread , pastries, to fruit, to yogurt. I love cheese, for example, and tried five different cheese varieties every morning. I really think that the goat cheeses were my absolute favorite. I would also like to say that most everything was very fancy as far as the parts of the zoo, the old town, and Novartis we were able to see. I think that I would consider myself very lucky if I ever got to live (with a decent wage of course) in a city as high tech and as beautiful as Basel.
