wine week and little things and currywurst whats?!

i like bonn...it has a good small city feel to it...like toulouse and florence i guess i would compare it to...it's got the metro and trains that i'm used to...although i do have to get used to waiting at the crosswalks...even when there's zero cars coming whatsoever...the university is really nice, too...at least from the outside anyway...i love the grassy quad area w the beer garden overlooking the rhine...very nice touch...and i'm not even a beer fan...or wurst...or schnitzel...or riesling...i'm gonna have to make up for that somehow!...i'm sure i can figure out a way with all the great gelato and delicious chocolate they have over here...i actually have the time to sit down, relax, and enjoy my meal instead of rushing back to class hoping not to be lat and giving the entire group a pop neuro quiz!...the atmosphere is just so much more relaxed in europe than it is in the us...people actually take lunch breaks, bring their dogs, and sit out by fountains getting their lunch carted to them outside in the plazas and overlook the passers-by...speaking of people-watching...surprisingly, the fashion isn't so completely different...i have seen a lot of american t-shirts here, or at least shirts in english...not to mention the starbucks menu has english headings/titles, but german descriptions...i was, however, very proud of myself for understanding what the vendor/barista was asking me in german...and, no, i don't do starbucks in the us, so it was all on the fly...i was impressed at least...i know other people have put up some pictures, and since this isn't my computer i won't overload the site with probable repeats...i'm really happy that everyone is getting along fatastically within the group...and...we all now know how to bbm...all in a few days' worth...next time i'll post, i'll be in the netherlands!...get excited for mud tomorrow!
