Due to the lack of internet over the last couple of days, I am going to post the blogs that I have been intending to post.
As I am writing this, we are on our way by bus to the Netherlands. Our stay in Bonn was fantastic. The city was great, and all of the people at the AIB were very welcoming and helpful. It was a great start to our program.
The activities that we had planned in Bonn were very enlightening. We listened to a lecture on homeopathic medicine followed by a visit to a local veterinarian who uses the techniques in her clinic. This was the first time I had ever heard of this type of medicine, and I found it to be very interesting. I am looking forward to finding some journal articles discussing this scientific reasoning of this approach.
Last night, our AIB guide Olaf took us to the city of Cologne to visit the Cologne Cathedral. It was one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen. The architectural detail was astonishing.
I enjoyed Bonn most because it felt like a genuine German town. I also enjoyed how only a short bus ride could take you out into the country or residential area. This allowed us to see places such as the Organic Farm, Gut Ostler, that we visited while staying in Bonn.
I am now very excited to be heading to the Netherlands!
