Dinner and Bonn Exploration

Tonight we went to this great little Italian restaurant called Borsalino and I had "macaroni, zucchini and pollo" and it had quite the distinct taste. I've never had anything like it! I also tried a Kolsh beer... brewed in Koln (Cologne) and it was really sweet like Strong Bow or Ace Pear. YUM. Several of us shared desserts that were also marvelous! After walking around Bonn some more, we went to a little Irish Pub for drinks.... that pretty much ended the rest of tonight because everyone is so exhausted!I do have one quick story.... so apparently there is a little tradition around here that I thought was ADORABLE! We were walking around town and saw several small trees that had been cut down, tied and decorated in front of apartments all over town.... when we asked Olaf, our AIB guide, it turns out that guys do this as a token of their affection to the girl they are interested in at the beginning of May! There were SEVERAL around Bonn and made quite the statement! Precious. Check this one out on the 3rd FLOOR. How the heck did they get it up there? Maybe from the roof????
