Hi from the flying pig hostel in Amsterdam! We just finished the first crazy week in europe. The most memorable thing was definetly the seal rehabilitation center in pieterburen, netherlands. The facility is incredibly attentive to its main function, conservation of the north atlantic seal populations. The koln cathedral in germany was absolutely breathtaking. It was so immense! The vastness and living history as the cathedral is still under construction since 1248!
The flight to germany was pretty unremarkable except for the baggage scare at the terminal. Someone had left their luggage unattended so they blew it up! Take their warnings to heart; do not leave your stuff alone.
Everyone is so very nice and polite. Traveling and finding directions isn't as stressful as I thought it would be. You can always find someone who is friendly and speaks pretty good English. Also, since I have not lost anything, I consider this trip to be successful. The homeopathy lecture and visit to the clinics was interesting, but I don't find myself convinced with the power and/or energy of the 'remedies.' I shall remain cynical until more hard evidence, other than anecdotal, is available. Sorry, all you homeopaths. Shun the non-believer! Shuuuuunnnnnnnn!
Well, I am going to my bunk bed. Later, all.
